It had been a clear and sunny day with the possibility of a reasonable sunset, so off over the water to New Brighton to catch the last rays of the setting sun. It looks like quite a few other photographers had the same idea, tripods in the water and filters at the ready, there were at least ten others at the waters edge.
The sunset itself was a bit of a wash-out as the sun was inconsiderate enough to set in the wrong direction and not behind Perch Rock lighthouse. (suggestion to self - get a sun compass)
