Vapour Trails

The Southport Airshow was brought to a fitting end by a fine display by the recently restored Avro Vulcan bomber, XH558. This aircraft first flew in 1960 and withdrawn from active servise in 1984 it became the RAF's Vulcan Display aircraft until 1992.  Sold on into private hands it was restored and made airworthy with it's first flight in 1007.

Because of bad weather in the south and east of England the appearance on the Saturday was cancelled but, fortunately for me, the aircarft managed to fly around the weather from RAF Brize Norton on the sunday to provide a fine display of flying.
