The Pier at Fleetwood

Not one of the largest, or one of the most well known but a pier non the less. It seems to have a bit of a chequered history. It was opened in 1910, plans to lengthen it were eventually abandoned, then in 1952 there was a fire that left it a tangled mass of iron. Rebuilt it was re-opened in 1953. After a facelift in 1972 it was closed in 2000. New oweners were found and it was then re-opened again in 2003.
