Prince's Landing Stage

For many years there was a landing stage at Liverpool's Pier Head that saw many thiosnads of people leave these shore on Transatlantic Liners, long distance ferries and boats to all parts of the world. Today only the rump of the stage is left, with danger notices all over it. It was a massive structure almost half a mile long with offices and shelters on it and Riverside Station adjacent to it. The small structure is the last remaing ticket collector's kiosk, which may also be seen here.

Lovely stuff Les- a superb record of the pier's last days.
I almost want to come back to Liverpool for a nostalgic look around. Almost... but I shall resist the temptation!

Interesting treatment, Les. It looks like the photograph has been left to the mercy of the elements! Love the shot BTW. I've never been to Liverpool - I think it's the only major city in the UK that I haven't visited!

To think I've walked along this on the way to and from the Isle of Man many years ago. Soon, I presume, it will be no more.
