Moored behind HMS Albion in Canada Dock on Sauturday was the Chemical/Oil Products tanker Lady Jasmine, wearing the Tunisian flag. As I was wandering around the flight deck of Albion the Lady Jasmine was manouvered out of her berth and taken through the dock system by three tugboats. It was a pleasure to watch the skill of the tugboat captains in moving such a large vessel through a very confined space. The ship was heading for Jorf Lasfar in Morocco.
The Liverpool Pilot was high on the bridge directing the operation whilst some of the crew was in the bow with the forward tow and one member decided to record the passing of Albion on his mobile phone.
