There's a lot about this that makes it a Likey for me, Les! The lighting, the color-tones, the steam, the mood.
Les Auld: Thanks Ginnie, really appreciate the comment.
Ginnie has summed it up perfectly. Terrific shot Les.
Les Auld: Thanks Aussie, glad you like it.
Great shot, Les! So pleasing on the eye. (:o)
Les Auld: A great engine to photograph Roz, thanks for the comment.
It gives me the feeling that we are in the '50s.
Nice colors and composition
Les Auld: Thanks Bob, all down to the volounteers that run these railways.
DROOOOOOOOOOOOOL. Likey, likey likey
Les Auld: Thanks Bill.
And it's Great Western
Les Auld: Even the GWR produced some fine engines, although we can show them at their best "up north". Thanks Bill.
I showed a railway fan friend of mine your earlier shots from here which he enjoyed, and I know he would really enjoy this excellent presentation as he is a GWR buff, (for his sins), we both emanate from LNER country.
Les Auld: As an ex LMS enthusiast, can't beat Stanier's best, even I have to admit that the GWR and LNER had some fine looking engines. Thanks for the comment Brian.
Ver yunusual image. Shooting under the lights gives this a very different feel to the more usual "preserved railway" image. Very atmospheric.
Les Auld: Thanks Alan, credit must go to the enthusiasts who set tis up for us to photograph.
superb shot Les, that really was well worth getting the tripod out for
Les Auld: I had just bought a new one so had to find a use for it to justify the cost, thanks fr the comment Tim.
Looks fantastic Bill - lighting is tremendous ;o)
Les Auld: Thanks Mike, and thanks to photoshop for getting it right.
Please excuse me whilst I drool over your delightful shot Les: I remember this loco in BR service
Les Auld: Thanks Chris, it is a grand engine.
Absolutely fantastic shot...the post production treatment is perfect, it looks almost 3D. One of your best Les!
Les Auld: A grand engine deserves the best Dave, thanks for the comment.
I'm not into engines but this is a quality pic, I love the effect of the slow exposure
Les Auld: Thanks Nigel, it is one of my favourite subjects.
