This weekend sees the British Musical Fireworks Championships by the Marine Lake in Southport. Six teams compete over three nights for the title, setting the fireworks display to music. It is all high tec these days with computer aided firing and modern fireworks mortars and shell, no men running about with lighted matches now.

I must admit to not being as impressed as last year with the two displays that I saw last night, nowhere near as good as last year's winner. I did not get many decent photographs either, I suppose you win some (last year) and you loose some (this year).
