Air Ambulance

The North West Air Ambulance  is a registered charity and receives no mainstream funding.   It relies totally on the generosity of the people and businesses throughout the region to raise the £1.9 million per year needed to keep it airborne. The helicopter is based in Blackpool airport and makes some 800-900 flights a year. They do a great job in providing a fast response to people in need.

It is seen here taking of from the ariport in a light rain last Saturday.
