Oh this is GLORIOUS. I like the way you have processed this to look lile a railway poster of old
Les Auld: Thanks Chris, I was aiming for what could be a printed image. glad you like it.
Just down the road from me. Reminds me I still haven't been since it re-opened. Superb picture Les.
Les Auld: I haven't been for a while either Bill, one day perhaps I get back down there. Thanks for the comment.

Great capture well processed
Les Auld: Thnaks vintage, appreciate the comment.
I'm really a LNER man Les but this is one of the best GWR loco shots I have seen for many a while. You really should print and frame this one.
Les Auld: We can't all be perfect Brian smile, I think I am a bit biased towards the LMS having grown up with it. Thanks for the comment.
Nostalgic memories of devouring intensive steam train experiences as a pubescent sprog linger long in me Les. I love the images for just that. richard
Les Auld: Well said Richard, thanks for the comment.

Ok, I don't often put steam trains into my favourites, but this one is on it's way.

An astonishingly amazing picture, detail right through the image and the colours are, well, superb. The train is coming straight out of my screen at me because it's 3-d

I'm fairly sure you've done some selection/desaturation, but I'm, not altogether sure how
Les Auld: Just some processing in PS Ellie, using Topaz Adjust and then creating a black and whit layer, reduced the opacity a touch and then painted the loco back in using a layer mask. Glad you like it, thanks for the comment.

This has lovely feeling of a painting, Les. Ummmm. Terence Cuneo, I believe was the great artist. I've got a few days in Ironbridge next week and had hoped to get to see the Severn Valley but, needless to say, it won't be running the days I'm there! Typical!

Ummm.. did you get a shot of the fine GWR Hall class "B*gger Hall" wink
Les Auld: Ironbridge is a grand place for photography Alan, perhaps we will see a few. Thanks for the comment.
