A typical Liverpool Saturday

Last Saturday was the annual Brazilica Carnival in Liverpool with Samba Dancers and Samba bands performng in the city centre and then in the evening parading though to streets for a grand finale on the big stage. The Festival has been running now for several years and attracts thousands of people into the city centre.

The lady second from the left in a horned headress is Simone Reeve who runs the Liverpool Samba school and was one of the festival originals.

Also filming in the city centre was the Channel 5, or is it 4, programme Embarasing Bodies and the dancers were filmed by the TV crew in front of the tent in the background.

All in alll a brilliant day for photography, unfortunately my battery ran out before the end and the fine weather held

Bloody 'ell - I've just exhausted my battery too!
Les Auld: Affects us all in the end Chris, thanks for the comment.
Mmm, that would have been more fun than graffiti, Les, in a purely artistic sense of course. smile
Les Auld: Of course Frank, we will leave graffiti to Blackpool and the glamorous extravaganza to Liverpool. Thanks for the comment.
I guess your battery was working overtime with this lot Les. I can't imagine any of this lot having embarrassing bodies can you?
Les Auld: Definitely not Brian, as a close inspection proved, thanks for the comment
