photoblog image Selection Day

Selection Day

Thank you to all who have commented on my images over the last few weeks, I have not been able to reply as I have been very occupied with the behind the scenes tasks for the Southport Photography Society's 65th National Exhibition. This included receiving, selecting and labeling images. Producing the catalogue and parceling up returns. And the Exhibition is still to be set up in Wayfarers Arcade in Southport for the formal opening on the 10th March.

The image above shows three of the distinguished selectors who would not take my advice, none of my train pictures did get in although I did manage best SPS Print with this one.

My thanks to Tony Thompson, the Society Archivist for the above image.

Normal service will be resumed once the exshibition preparations are over.

I thought that you were trying to impress then with your imaginary chair trick Les.
Les Auld: That was the fall back position Chad, thanks for the comment.
That was a cracking picture so well done. There should have been a special section for train pictures!
Les Auld: I second that Bill, thanks for the comment.

Your New Girl image is terrific Les. I don't think you are begging sufficently hard here to impress these stern men
Les Auld: So I must try harder next year Chris, thanks for the comment.
Well done Les, that is a cracking image. So these are the three gents who DIDN'T pick mine, and my friends images, I will remember their faces!!
Les Auld: Thanks Brian, from front to back - Keith Suddaby, Peter Rees and Rusty Lindsey.
So sorry the trains didn't make it in - they clearly don't know quality work when they see it! Congratulations, though, on all your hard work for the exhibition.... a lot of work for you! I love the New Girl photo!
Les Auld: Many thanks Elizabeth, there is always next year.
