You do such an amazing job at these, the image is so crisp - but then you use that nice slow shutter speed to get action from the steam - GREAT!
Les Auld: My favourite subject Elizabeth, thanks for the comment.

It's just great to see her enveloped in steam like this Les
Les Auld: Indeed so Chris, thanks for the comment.
Just looking at this fine image the power of this machine
is so evident, also the magnificent engineering.
Les Auld: Classic lines indeed Martin, thanks for the comment.
You can't beat a wheezing snorting groaning panting drooling steam engine. Much better than how I'm feeling and reacting being full of cold and chest symptoms.
Les Auld: Hope you are feeling better by now Richard, thanks for the comment.
Great stuff Les. I got to see this engine when I went to Loughborough with Trimbo et al. She wasn't in steam though. I had never seen her before
Les Auld: There is a first time for everything Bill, thanks for the comment.

Ahh.. a locomotive from a proper railway; not one of those funny Great Western things! I like the steam coming from everywhere.
Les Auld: I wonder if a copper cap would improve it, thanks for the comment Alan.
Was going to post a train myself today Les but changed my mind, superb capture of this work horse.
Les Auld: Look forward to seeing it when you do post Peter, thanks for the comment.
She is a fine loco I always think, mind you she caused a few problems last year on the ECML I believe setting fire to something.
Les Auld: Yes she was restricted from the ECML last year but works fine on the GCR, thanks for the comment Brian.
