Another of Grant Searl's pieces of art commissioned by MerseyTravel. This one is located in Moorfields Underground Station. I am guessing that the emblem is the Liver Bird, originally seen on the Great Seal that was part of Liverpool's grant by King John. The type and history of the creature has faded into legend and is now seen as the spirit of Liverpool. Some of the other images within the image are:
