This is great! I once had a patient with a cane, I asked if I might move it to the side and he said "Well what will I hit you with then?"!
Les Auld: People do have some strange ideas Elizabeth, thanks for the comment.

LOL at Elizabeth. I immediately thought of Harry Potter. smile
Les Auld: Harry who? never would have been allowed in my day. Thanks for the comment Ginnie.
Hahaha this can't be real. Or is it?
Les Auld: It is all in the eye of the beholder Jaquelyn, I merely created the illusion. Thanks for the comment.

This reminds me vividly of my own skule days Les - gulp!
Les Auld: Ah happy memories Chris, thanks for the comment.
Is this wishful thinking Les?
Les Auld: Not any longer Richard, the desire wore off long ago.
Fantastic picture here Les, and I just love that title.
Les Auld: Happy memories Frances, at least that is what I tell myself. thanks for the comment.
Jimmy Edwards comes to mind. I once had a headmaster who used to foam at the mouth as he caned children!
Les Auld: There is a definite resemblance Bill, thanks for the comment.
Those things hurt! Good pic' Les.Not so happy memories smile
Les Auld: But time does warp the memories Frank, thanks for the comment.

It reminds me of the chalk being flicked across the classroom at you when you were day dreaming in class!! and in some cases the blackboard rubber lol. They look great smile
Les Auld: Chalk, blackboard rubbers, books, it was all in a days work to dodge them at the Collegiate Linda, thanks for the comment.
The "no nonsense" approach there then.
Les Auld: Definitely so Janet, thanks for the comment.
Excellent shot Les smile
Les Auld: Thanks you John.

Haha - the teachers have really (English) humour! I read in the newspaper that the discipline at British schools had to be improved (like in other countries, too) - if these methods could help? Hitting with a stick was even in my youth forbidden, and I'm an oldie, but I have similar memories like Linda - and some teachers(but not me, now in retirement)are really horrible traumatising poor pupils!
Les Auld: Thanks for the comment Philine, appreciate it.
Great shot Les. I once had the cane, never a second time though, I made sure of that.
Les Auld: Not the best idea Brian, thanks for the comment.
Spare the rod and spoil the child ! Certainly shades of Jimmy Edwards here.
Les Auld: Indeed so Martin, thanks for the comment.
