The one on the right looks like a female, too, but perhaps only for the reenactment (not for the real deal?). I love how 'they' get into all this history, Les, and that you can chronicle it for us.
Les Auld: She is Ginnie, a very nice young lady. The weekend before she had been playing the part of a foot soldier of the Wars of the Roses and the following week she was down at the War and Peace show. Sure gets around. Thanks for the comment.

What absolutely wonderful uniforms they are wearing Les: the colours are very impressive too
Les Auld: There are indeed Chris, and they fought well too. Thanks for the comment.

I dread to think just how uncomfortable this would have been with the weight. Not the sort of thing to wear against flesh on a winter's day, either.
Les Auld: Especially in the middle east Alan, thanks for the comment.
good shots Les,
Les Auld: Thanks Frank.
These re-enactment people really do the works don't they Les.
Les Auld: And take great pride in it Brian, thanks for the comment.
The lady in the tent deserved to be the single feature of this post Les, really nice.
Les Auld: Thanks John, she was a very friendly lady and we spent a while talking about the Saracens, mainly because I was sheltering from the rain and she did not want to get her costume wet by going outside the tent.
