Thunderbirds are Go!

The weatther last Sunday was just right for the RAF Waddington International Airshow. With ten hours of flying there was plenty of action to watch but the best display had to be the USAF Thunderbirds Demonstration team. Flying their F-16C fast jets in close formation at very fast speeds, it was a feast for the eyes and ears as they roared around the field.

Waddington was their only UK display this year and it was well worth a 320 milre round trip to see then in action.

The third really good weekend in a row, I just hope it holds up for the Duxford Flying Legends show this coming Sunday.

Please tell me that top picture is a fake!! They weren't really that close....were they?
Les Auld: No trickery involved Bill, just the angle of view. They were separated vertically by about 6 feet and the lower one was slightly in front of the other. Clever flying and thanks for the comment.
A fantastic trio of shots Les, that looks some display.
Les Auld: One of the best I have seen for a while Brian, thanks for the comment.
