The First of the Year

The Crown Princess was the first of ths year's cruise ships to call at liverpool on Thursday. As usual the weather was not too good with rain and wind. However it did improve later after I had left. This is taken from the Mersey Ferry.

You know I love this, Les! I especially love recognizing the building on the left after being in Liverpool a year ago. smile
Les Auld: You just cannot fail to recognise the Liver Building Ginnie, once seen, etc. Thanks for the comment.

The size of these things is overwhelming Les
Les Auld: I do wonder why you would want to share your holiday home with over 3000 others, not my idea of a holiday but I do like taking pictures of them thanks for the comment.
I take it this was not going up the ship canal then Les, i like the treatment.
Les Auld: It would be a bit of a squeeze, thanks for the comment Frank.

Impressive as ever with your images, Les. I'd hate to go on one of these things.

Come on down to the south if you want some sun; more cruise ships, too!
Les Auld: I think I will stay up here Alan, sometimes you need to suffer for your art smile. Thanks for the comment.
An impressive looking ship Les and a good shot of it
Les Auld: Not one of my favourites Janet but she does take a good picture, thanks for the comment.
My word that is enormous Les, it overpowers everything. (Hope you had a good day at GCR, the weather has been quite kind for you today.)
Les Auld: GCR Was great, the ship is big indeed, thanks for the comment Brian.
Wow that's an impressive ship Les. I actually think the inclement weather worked in your favour, photographically. The sea looks fittingly cold and angry and the bold sky is pleasing. A superb shot Les
Les Auld: I do know it was cold and windy on the ferry as we passed the Crown princess, thanks for the comment.
