Oban Visitors

Just arrived in Oban after a five day journey from Hamburg the Thalassa moors up for the day prior to a trip around some of the Western Island's distilleries to sample the local produce.

Oban harbour does seem to have a wide range of visitors, the MV Discovery was just  leaving for the next leg of her trip.

The Caledonian MacBrayne ferries are in and out of the harbour all day. The Isle of Mull is on it's regular route to Mull.

In one post, and just like that, you do Boat Friday proud, Sir Les! The sailing ship alone is worth more than a thousand words.
Les Auld: Thanks Ginnie, I do try.

An interesting collection of ships. It's fascinating to watch the Calmac ferries; it's all very routine to the crew and the locals, I'm sure, but to me it gives a sense of adventure. I like the idea of a sail between distilleries.
Les Auld: Calmac do seem to have it well worked out, the turn-round in Oban is very fast. Thanks for the comment Alan.
