photoblog image Fish and Ships

Fish and Ships

Prodcued by the artist Martin Kemp, Fish and Ships stands at the old entrance to Coburg Dock as part of the Liverpool Discovers event. It is suppsoed to encompass the essence of the River  Mersey – its incredible sea voyages, departures, migrant arrivals and its everyday comings and going.

As one of the world’s busiest rivers, big ships,  ferries and cruise liners share their space with fishermen, pleasure crafts and now – an increasingly diverse marine life. Animated by the wind,  the  tiny passengers on board this fantastical vessel wave from their port holes as the sjips pass by.
