Makes a Change from Steam Locomotion

A quite weekend with not much happening so a quick trip up to Preston on Saturday night to catch the return of the preserved Deltic 55022, ex D9000 Royal Scots Grey, as she heads back to Carnforth from London Euston with the West Coast Empty Coaching Stock following a successful charter to York the previous day.

She's gorgeous, Les, and reminds me of my school colors (Michigan's maize and blue!). smile
Les Auld: Hope they are happy memories Ginnie, thanks for the comment.

Les Auld: I remember building the Kitmaster plastic kit of the original, that was a few years ago, thanks for the comment Bill.

A very polished looking machine too Les.
Les Auld: Gleaming under the station lights Chad, thanks for the comment.
Fabulous machines aren't they Les, to think I saw these in service every day when I worked in London and trvelled to and from Kings Cross.
Les Auld: They are quite reasonable for a diesel Brian, they used to work into Liverpool Lime Street as well. Thanks for the comment.
