On what may be her last visit before she is decommissioned next year, HMS Liverpool ties up at the Crusie Liner Facility on the River Mersey.

I have a feeling that for a few years at least until one of the new aircraft carriers get commissioned, HMS Victory may be one of our only ships in active service!

I heard that Liverpool is trying to nick some of our cruise traffic - shame on it! smile
Les Auld: Now that is a ship I would love to see in action Alan.

As for Southampton running scared to the government to try and stop Liverpool, they will not succeed.
Nice shot
Les Auld: Thanks John.
We might need some of these ships destined for the scrap heap if recent rescue missions are anything to go by. Can't beat a bit of gun boat diplomacy with all these nutty regimes about.
Les Auld: Very true Martin, thanks for the comment.
Shame these lovely vessels are going for scrap.
Les Auld: It is indeed Brain, HMS Cambletown is due in this coming weekend as part of her farewell tour. Thanks for the comment.
