The Bagnall 0-4-0ST Linda, on loan from the Chasewater Railway, leaves the Riverside station during the Ribble Steam railway's Winter Gala. In the background the Hunslet Austerity 0-6-0 saddle tank Walkden waits to take out the demonstration freigth when Linda returns.

I see it's in NCB livery Les: there must have been hundreds of these in service until the 1960s or maybe 70s
Les Auld: They did work on quite late Chris, and a few have made it into preservation. Thanks for the comment.

ST = saddle tank (my guess).
I am impressed again by the number of engines being kept in running order off the line.
Les Auld: There are many still running in the UK Louis, so plenty of opportunities to photograph them.
