photoblog image The 2010 Santa Dash

The 2010 Santa Dash

Sunday dawned cold, wet and foggy but almost 8,000 Santas, many from Merseyside but also runners from all around the country and quite a few who had flown in from foriegn parts to run the 5Km course. Unfortunately we did not manage to break the world record of 8.864 in Las Vegas last year but everyone enjoyed the day out. The aim of the event was to raise money for charity whilst enjoying themselves and there were mums with buggies, pet owners with dogs and the odd blue Santa taking part.

The snow machine at the Finish Line was working overtime to greet the runners.

And bringing up the rear was a chorus line of Santas singing and dancing down Dale Street.

Our Santa Run here in Gorinchem, Holland, is on the 18th, Les. Astrid will run and I'll take pictures. I LOVE the idea.

They were all girls or did you only took pictures of the girl Santa's?
Like the conversion used in the main picture.
Another year gone by.
Les Auld: Indeed Louis, it is only a year since the last Santa Dash, as for the ladies, maybe it was my subconscious at work as I do have lots of lads as well. Thanks for the comment.
Rather scary and a pink one also, whatever next smile My favourites are the two smaller shots, well captured and great fun.
Les Auld: Mine too John, thanks for the comment.
Who'd have thought there would be so many Mrs Santas in one place!
