Christmas is a coming

The Christmas attarctions and decorations are now arriving in Liverpool. High on Chavasse Park stands the North Star, a fairground ride that carries a whirling chair swing well over 100 feet aboove the ground all in the pursuit of enjoyment.

Also riding on the swing were a group of Santas advertising the 2010 Santa Dash, to be held in December.

Les Auld: Thanks Jacquelyn, I'd rather stay on the ground though. Appreciate the comment.

What on earth is a Santa Dash Les?
Les Auld: A race in aid of charity Chris, last year there were over 6000 Santas running around the streets of Liverpool but the world record was snatched by LA with over 8000. This year Liverpool is aiming for 10,000 entrants. A great sight though.
