The Type 23 Royal Navy Frigate sailed into Liverpool yesterday for a five day goodwill visit. She has just completed a £19M refit in Rosyth shipyard and is in the final stages of working up to be returned to fleet service in the near future.

I had a little chuckle by myself that a navy would send a frigate to one of its own harbours on a goodwill visit. The natives must be getting restless smile

A fine vessel apart from the paint at the bow. Do the crews get chance to ashore during these visits?
