photoblog image Morayshire at Quorn

Morayshire at Quorn

Saturday was the Great Central Railway's Steam Gala and one of the fine guest engines was the ex LNER D49 246, Morayshire, usually at home on the Bowness and Kinneil Railway in Scotland and is owned by the Royal Scottish Museum.

She is seen here passing the signal box after leaving Quorn station, headed for Leicester North.

Les Auld: It is Bill, thanks for the comment.
You may have only been a few yards form me when this was taken les, a fine shot and a good day out, I'm sure you'll agree.
Les Auld: It was a bit crowded there Brian, I see from your Flickr images that you managed to photograph the train I arrived on, hauled by the Duke so we must have been very close. You should always look out for the hat! thanks for the comment.
