This is another great capture. They have such a distictive sound, don`t they? (:o)
Les Auld: They do indeed Rosalyn and as it flew in from the rear over the buildings the sound is what hit you first. thanks for the comment.

Oooh - I love the sound of those engines Les!
Les Auld: So did I Chris, the sound as it approached from the year made my hairs stand up on end, just fabulous. Thanks for the comment.

Whoa! It looks like a model airplane hanging overhead with a sky cloned in, Les. Very cool.
Les Auld: So it does Ginnie, I never noticed that, thanks for the comment.

Les Auld: The only one left flying Vintage, a regular performer at airshows over here. Thanks for the comment.
Great shot Les, I like the semi-frozen propellors.
Les Auld: I generally use shutter priority at around 1320 to get the effect Brian, seems to work. Thanks for the comment.
Perfect weather for the occasion, another great shot Les smile
Les Auld: A fine Yorkshire afternoon Linda, thanks for the comment.
That plane really is in absolutely superb condition.
Les Auld: And let us hope the RAF an keep it flying during the regime of cuts to come, thanks for the comment Ellie.
Hi Les - I have been looking thru your portfolio of images - what a fabulous collection. Especially love this one (I've just finished making an old Airfix model of a Lancaster in exactly this "livery"!) and the steam locos on the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway (how am I not familiar with this one????). Les, are these HDR images? Mike
Les Auld: Thanks for the compliment Michael, I never managed a decent build of the Airfix kit. They are not actually HDR, I use the Topaz range of Photoshop plug-ins, they seem to work OK for me.
