photoblog image A Study in Green

A Study in Green

And so the 1940s caravan moved on, last weekend it was at Lytham St Annes, the weather held and sun was the order of the day. This lady, respendant in her US Army uniform spent most of the Saturday sitting in the sun at the side of a 6x4 US General Purpose Truck. I suspect it is the uniform of the US Women's Army Corps but stand to be corrected.

The truck looked like this:

Lovely studies Les: very authentic looking
Les Auld: They do put in the work to look right Chris, thanks for the comment.
Fantastic portait shot - almost looks like a super-real portrait painting - should be framed and hung/made into a poster/t-shirt (that's if you could get the lady's permission). The technique is really excellent. Mike
Les Auld: Thanks Mike, I was aiming for something just a bit different and this is one I'm quite happy with.
Great twiddle Les.

Looks like she's sucking on something quite bitter, Les! That's a fine-looking truck.
Les Auld: A pretty good workhorse Alan, thanks for the comment.
Hell's teeth she looks scary!
Les Auld: Not someone to cross Bill, thanks for the comment.
Good shot Les, in fact both of them are, but I hope she never sees this one of herself.
Les Auld: Maybe I should keep away next time Brian, thanks for the comment.
I think she looks quite scary! Great image, though. (:o)
Les Auld: She sure does Rosalyn, thanks for the comment.
If it weren't for the uniform she'd look like a supervillan
Les Auld: There is an air about her Holly, thanks for the comment.
