With the liner as bench mark, those gulls are huge. Otherwise it is a well worked picture.
Les Auld: The gulls were close in and I did think of cloning them out but they were not doing any real harm. Thanks for the comment.
Nice image, Les! Like the processing and the subtle colour highlights. (:o)
Les Auld: It all seemed to work together Rosalyn and the grey early morning light as well. Thanks for the comment.

Those Holland ships sure are beauties, Les...especially in your hands!
Les Auld: Classic lines Ginnie, she just looks at home there. Thanks for the comment.
A very smart looking Ship and not overly huge like some!
Les Auld: A good size for the termianl as well. thanks for the comment Bill.
Nice HDR!! That sky looks great!
Les Auld: I used Topaz to bring out the sky after creating the tonemapped HDR in Photomatix, seemed to work ok. Thanks for the comemnt Marion.
great capture and processing
Les Auld: Thanks Derek, appreciate the comment.
Great looking ship Les, but it's the two gulls over the funnel that catch my eye.
Les Auld: Just goes to show Brian, there is life of other sorts in Liverpool. Thanks for the comment.
Very nicely processed Les smile
Les Auld: Thanks Linda, more by accident than good judgment though.
The tonal treatment works so well. Well done.
Les Auld: Thanks John, stumbled upon the finish by accident but it seemed to work.

She looked quite small until I realised that there were people on the quayside; they give it good scale. I like the subtle colours in this.
Les Auld: Their size can be quite deceptive Alan, I would estimate she is a medium sized ship and looks quite at home at the landing stage. Thanks for the comment.
