MS Discovery

Last Saturday the cruise liner MS Discovery visited Liverpool for the day, With a gross tonnage of about 20,000 and a passenger capacity of 646 it is not the biggest of Cruise Liners but still a welcome visitor.

Those of you with long memories and a television addiction may remember the 1970s US series "The Love Boat" the Discovery, or the Island Princess as she was at that time, was one of the stars of the show.

She is seen here catching the late evening sun at the City of Liverpool Cruise Liner Facility.
