Under the Clock at Bury

The ubiquitous 1940's singer Mr Paul Harper entertains the crowds at Bury Bolton Street station on the East Lancashire Railway during the 1940's Weekend.

More images may be found on my Flickr site.

There are a few videos clips on YouTube, this is just one of them, with some good action shots of the 8F and the Duke.

What is it about reenactments, Les! Astrid and I were at the Doordt in Stoom steam festival a week ago and felt like we were in a different era. I guess we were. I especially liked seeing the people dressing the part in this video. How fun.
Les Auld: I do think people have a rose-tinted view of the past Ginnie, but somehow it does work, Thanks for the comment.
