photoblog image The name says it all

The name says it all

Just down the tracks from the buffers of yesterday is a great big old anchor from a wooden walled sailing ship, appropriately enough right in front of the Maritime Museum at the Albert Dock, Liverpool.

We have a maritime museum in the heart of the city at the dry-docks, fascinating places to explore
Les Auld: It is indeed Zed, it is also the Museum of Slavery. Thanks for the comment.
i like the overall photo and the reflections of the crane sin the window, very good
Les Auld: Glad you like it Derek, thanks for the comment.

A lovely presentation, Les. So is this the Merseyside Maritime Museum? wink
Les Auld: It is indeed Alan, and also the Museum of Slavery. Thanks for the comment.
Great photo Les, that anchor must have belonged to a big ship. BTW my friend and I managed to get to the GCR for a couple of hours late this morning after all. We saw everything through Quorn at least twice, the light is always difficult for decent photos there though. Have a good day yourself on Sunday.
Les Auld: One of the wooden walls I suspect Brian. I know what you mean about the light at Quorn, it was very contrasty today and I am not too happy with the pictures that I managed to take. It was a good day out though. Thanks for the comment.

And very appropriately processed, Les!
Les Auld: Thanks Ginnie, appreciate the comment.
Very well framed and presented Les
Les Auld: Thanks Pamela.
