Just Another Tanker

The Crude Oil Tanker Randgrid discharging the last of it's cargo of oil at Tranmere Oil Terminal before leaving on the late tide for the Heidrun Oil Filed in the North Sea.

The picture was taken from the Mersey Ferry Royal Iris on a fine but cold Sunday afternoon.

Not a beautiful vessel, but I bet it is earning a couple of quid for its owners.

It might just another tanker but somebody love its.
Les Auld: Probably the people it is making money for Linda, thanks for the comment.
Could do with a coat of paint Les.
Les Auld: Time for a refit then Ron, thanks for the comment.
Is it my eyes or is the bow of this not actually pointing forwards but to the left?
Les Auld: It was down tot he angle of the ferry as it pulled away Bill, thanks for the comment.
I see what Bill means, it does appear to have an unusual shaped bow.
Les Auld: The ferry was pulling away at an angle so giving a bit of distortion Brian, thanks for the comment.

Looks very "functional", Les. It seems that they do "sonic parking", too, judging by the marks on the bow.
Les Auld: Functional but not necessarily simple Alan, thanks for the comment.
great shot! I think it would also look good in B&W
Les Auld: It would indeed Charles, thanks for the comment.
