photoblog image On the Big Screen...

On the Big Screen...

... but not in the cinema. Advertising on the Big Screen overlooking Lime Street in Liverpool. The lights are on St. George's Plateau.

I went to see Avatar in 3D yesterday, interesting film but a little too long. Good on effects but a story of Arrogance, attempted Genocide, Species-ism and ruthless business warfare. I would give the 3D a 90% score, some dodgy moments but quite effective. I suspect in a few years it will improve even more.

Sounds like not the best film Les, I like how the lamps are in the shot as well.
Les Auld: It wasn't too bad Linda, great special effects though. Thanks for the comment.
Well taken Les. The film doesn't sound like my type of fayre at all.
Les Auld: It wasn;t a bad film Brian, just felt some parts of it were a bit overplayed I thought. Thanks for the comment.
We saw this and I enjoyed the film but apparently all sorts of people are getting very worked up with the plight of the Avatars as if it were real. Was some great filming in it tho.
Les Auld: I did see a report in a local paper about people who were so depressed because they could not visit the planet! The film was enjoyable for the most part though. Thanks for the comment.
