The Grand Chandalier
Centrepiece of the Small Concert Room in St. Georges Hall in Liverpool is this grand chandelier, history has it that when Queen Victoria came to Liverpool to open the hall there was only a single light hanging from the ceiling and her majesty was horrified by how out of place it looked amongst the grandeur of the hall itself so she donated the chandelier to the good people of Liverpool and decreed it would hang in the Small Concert Room.
It is made up of 2,824 pieces of crystal and was restored to it's original condition during the restoration of the hall.
