The last of the 2008 Visible Virals

The other day in Berry Street, Liverpool, I stumbled on this, the only one of the Visible Virals that I had failed to photograph back in 2008. I have posted most of the others in the last two years, somewhere in the archive they exist now in cyberspace (haven't heard that word for a long time).

According to the BBC at the time the Visible Virals were a series of socially engaging and playful text works on empty walls all over the city. Part of the Liverpool Biennial Art Festival they are still reminding us of some things we perhaps ignore.

Pictures like this certainly make you think Les - and that is obviously what they are designed to do
Les Auld: It is indeed Chris, thanks for the comment.

Excellent picture.

The other day I met an old gent. Apparently he has a vicious type for a wife. He remarked to me that it is better to be alone than to wish you were alone.
When I used this same words of wiseness with someone else, the response was that there is a difference between alone an being lonely.

From all that - being alone is not the issue it seems, being lonely is the issue.
Les Auld: How true Louis, especially at this time of year. Thanks for the comment.
Yes 'lonely' is the issue.

Excellent image Les and excellent series ... glad you found the missing piece of jigsaw at the bottom of the toybox.

Les Auld: Even in a crowd Richard, thanks for the comment.
Lonely is not a nice thing!
Les Auld: It never is Linda, thanks for the comemnt.
Nice to know you have completed the collection Les, sadly the message is only too true.
Les Auld: Especially this time of year Brian, thanks for the comment.
Some through choice but many not and loneliness is a terrible thing
Les Auld: It is indeed Bill, thanks for the comment.
Nice picture, despite the sad message
Les Auld: It does seem to work quite well, thanks for the comment.
