Ships that pass

It was another grey day on the river as the chemical tanker Anette Theresa passes the Royal Daffodil at Woodside, Birkenhead.

Another good shot Les, your shots from the Mersey always give the impression that is always very busy.
Les Auld: There is still quite a bit of shipping about, but not as much as there used to be. Thanks for the comment Brian.
My mums favourite ferry!
Les Auld: She has good taste Linda, thanks for the comment.
Looks a bit choppy, Les! "Royal Daffodil" seems to be bit of sort of nancy name for a functional ship. I like the contrasts in size.
Les Auld: Traditionally the Mersey Ferries were all given names of flowers, and the Royal Prefix was given for the exploits of two of the ferries in the Zeebruge Raid in WW1. Thanks for the comment.
The ferry does look dwarfed by the other. Nice one Les.
Les Auld: Even so the fery is registered to carry over 600 passengers Ron, thanks for the comment.

Superb. Reflets, light and colors are really beautiful. Have a nice day. Antoine
