The Rainbow in the Fountain

Right time, right place for once. Just walking through Sefton Park in Liverpool, one of the great Liverpool Parks, I was lucky enough to pass the fountain when the sun was right, the time was right and the weather was brilliant. A couple of minutes later teh rainbow had disappeared.

I used to live by Sefton Park when I was nought but a lad and used to play often in the park with friends. We used to go across busy roads and stay a long time without our parents knowing exactly where we where or what we were doing but it seemed to do us no harm. I doubt very much it would happen now though. When I was ten we moved away to foreign parts, up by the football grounds, and never walked through the park again until this last week.

A few more images of the park may be found
here on my Flickr site

A lot of money has been spent on it to improve and upgrade the park, the lake has been drained and cleaned, the Bandstand renovated and the statues refurbished. It certainly looks good now.
