Today's Oil Jetty at Tranmere

The modern oil jetties at Tranmere are a far more complex affair than the original posted yesterday. They can take the Very Large Crude oil Carriers (VLCCs) and offload their oil then send it on it's way to Stanlow Oil Terminal 10 miles away across the Wirral.

The tugboat is the Svitzer Stanlow, fresh from guiding a tanker into the far terminal.

Les Auld: More like a quick fifteen minutes for me Ginnie, thanks for the comment.

Les Auld: Functional can have a look all of it's own though Alan. Thanks for the comment.
There is a blue/grey effect to this which I think suits the industrial nature of the area.
Les Auld: There is quite a cold feel to this Chad and it does seem to work, thanks for the comment.
