photoblog image If you want a Cathedral....

If you want a Cathedral....

..... We've got one to spare

The Anglican Cathedral as seen across the roof tops of Liverpool from the Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King.

It is strange to thing that the Anglican Cathedral was finally finished in 1978, more or less ten years after the modern Catholic Cathedral had been completed

Well taken sir!
Les Auld: Well commented sir!, thanks Chris.
Wonderful picture ! I like very much the contrast underlined by your clever framing !
Les Auld: Thanks Zeb, appreciate the comment.
Nicely composed Les. Good one.
Les Auld: Appreciate the comment Ron, thanks.
Well seen compositional framing Les, it actually looks older than 1978 in style.
Les Auld: The design is turn of the century Brian, it just took so long to build, thanks for the comment.
Excellent shot Les. I think the Anglican cathedral is superb. i doubt we will see anything like it ever built again
Les Auld: So do I Bill, a lost art as well. Thanks for the comment.
I hadn't realised that both cathedrals were fairly modern. I always assumed that the Anglian was much older. I like the view between the beams.
Les Auld: The Anglican cathedral does have an air of age about it Alan, thanks for the comment.
I like the way you've framed this... the concrete diagonals provide a good contrast with the cathedral.
Les Auld: Thanks Mark, the concrete diagonals are part of the Metropolitan cathedral.
