Florence Institute for Boys

I was undecided as to post the full colour image or the monochrome image of the Florrie in the Dingle, so in the end I decided to post both. Same building different treatment.

I like the color version, Les, but I must say this one takes the prize for me. I was expectant as I opened your page that there would be a texturized/HDR beauty awaiting me. You did not disappoint! There's lots of history with this image. One wonders about all the stories that haunt those walls!
Les Auld: I would really like a time machine to go back and see the past, but with my camera and a protective bubble as well. Thanks for the compliment

I prefer the mono version, like the treatment, what a shame about the condition of the building
Les Auld: It is a sad case, thanks for the comment.

Excellent picture, especially with the texture. All those plants growing from the building is something else.
Les Auld: One of the great Buddleia buildings Louis. Thanks for the comment.
Preferred the colour version Les (can't believe I am saying that). I think the red brick contrasting with the widows tells us more about its current state. Both fine shots though!
Les Auld: Neither can I believe it Mike, colour indeed. thanks for the comment.
