Just to the north of Southport is the River Douglas, a tributary of the River Ribble half a mile further down stream. There are quite a few boats moored here at the Douglas Marine pontoon, quite a few looking a bit worse for wear.

Look to be a few stuck in the mud, Les. The sheep seem to be enjoying the view as well. I'm concerned about the power lines; they seem quite close to the taller masts.
