photoblog image The Earl of Pembroke

The Earl of Pembroke

Within Pembroke castle are a few tableaux depicting life in the Middle Ages. This represents William De Valance, Earl of Pembroke, taking a meal with his family in the Great Hall in 1280. A reasonable attempt perhaps but there does seem something lacking in it but I am not sure just what it is, maybe it is just too clean.

lol started laughing when l saw his red shoes, arn't they back in style again, scene looks far to clean and polished to reflect the reality of the middle ages
Les Auld: Definitely needs some rushes on the floor Zed, thanks for the comment.
I knew this just from the thumbnail Les, you are following in my footsteps from last July. I thought these were some of the best statues of this type I have seen.
Les Auld: Quite effective but just too clean Brian, thanks for the comment.

What a brilliant idea, good way of showing what life was like - but the floor's too clean!
Les Auld: So it is Ellie, thanks for the comment.
