The View from the Top
After two lifts and 108 stairs you exit onto the top of the tower of Liverpool cathedral and from there you have views across Liverpool and the Wirral to satisfy most people.
In the foreground is the Pier Head with the three graces, the new Liverpool Museum, Salthouse Dock and the Albert Dock and the new buildings of the Liverpool One development.
Across the river may be seen the ferry terminal at Seacombe and the villages of the Wirrall Peninsula. in the distance is the new wind farm on Burbo Bank in Liverpool Bay and on the horizon a couple of ships making for port.
