photoblog image A Marshside Sunset

A Marshside Sunset

One of the advantages of living on the north West Coast is that you do get some good sunsets. This is taken over the road from where I live with the setting sun reflected in the leads of the Marshside Salt Marsh Bird Reserve whilst the wagons travel down the coast road on the horizon.

Beautiful, Les. Love the colours in this. It sure beats the the view I get from my hovel of suburban Southampton!
Les Auld: Thanks Alan, I must admit to liking gazing out of the window across the marshes.
Bit different than the view out from my place Les, you really have made the best of this sunset and the water in the centre and foreground.
Les Auld: Thanks Brian, it is a pleasure to walk the embankment and take in the views.
Living by a bird reserve can't be bad Lessmile
Les Auld: Unless you cannot stand the noise of thousands of geese as they migrate here for the winter, thanks for the comment Bill.
Wonderful sunset really ! Bravo !
Les Auld: Thanks Zeb, appreciate the comment.

That's an incredibly beautiful scene.

The straight line of the ditch makes me remember where we used to live in Cheshire, where the drainage ditches were several feet deep
Les Auld: Thanks Ellie, these leads flood during the winter and it gets a touch wet on the marsh.
