photoblog image Kiyomizu-dera Temple

Kiyomizu-dera Temple

Back in the days when I worked for a living I travelled many times to Japan and managed to get the odd sight seeing visit in as well. Unfortunately I was not really interested in photography then, used to rely on an old APS format camera and sometimes remembered to get the films processed as well. This is a scan of a picture from Kyoto, the Kiyomizu-dera Temple, a World Heritage Site and one of many temples in Kyoto.

Now I had a feeling that this was not from the Merseyside area even before I read the notes! At least you had some photographs from your travels to prompt your own memories.
Les Auld: Well spotted Alan, thanks for the comment.
Wonderful shot. I agree, there are a lot of good photo opportunities that we have missed.
Les Auld: There ar indeed Janet, thanks for the comment.
Oh how you wish you were into photography as a hobby then Les, I bet. Still this is a good picture and I like the presentation very much.
Les Auld: I do indeed Brian, glad you like it.
Very nice framing.
Les Auld: Thanks for the comment, appreciate it.

Great scan and well presented. I have recently started scanning old pictures to restore. I am still learning, but have completed a few lessons to date. I have found for instance that scanning colour matt pictures is difficult to handle.
Les Auld: Unfortunately my scanner no longer works so this was one of the last I could do. Thanks for the comment Louis.
