Chatsworth in the Peak


The stately home of the Duke of Devenshire is Chatsworth in the peak District, Derbyshire. It always amazes me that the ducal seat is not in the place of the title. The Duke of Devonshire in Derbyshire, the Earl of Derby's place is in Liverpool and the Duke of Lancaster lives in Gloucestershire.

I never realised that about the Ducal seat.

Wooh! Opulence. The picture absolutely oozes opulence.

Where they live and their names are really odd, can't remember which one lives at Arundel, but it certainly isn't the Duke of Arundel. :
