A new view

This shot would not have been possible a few months ago, there were no trees, it was a building site and probably raining as well. The new Chavasse Park on the Strand in Liverpool has been grassed over and planted out so that from cetrtain angles you would not think you were down at the docks or just in front of a major new shopping centre. St John's Beacon in the background has been there for many years though.

The tower looks alien in this landscape!
Les Auld: Thanks for the comment Pat.

Nicely composed Les and I love the colour of the sky. Who on earth thought up the name Chavasse Park? It might attract the wrong sort of people smile
Ingrid
Les Auld: Thanks for the comment Ingrid, the park is named for Noel Chavasse who was as stretcher bearer in WW1 and was awarded the Victoria Cross for bravery under fire.

LOL.. Chavasse Park - not Chav's Park, then? Or are chavs just in the south east? The landscaping gives no hint of the urban surroundings.
Les Auld: This used to be just a flat park area and the development has improved it no end, hopefully it will be opened to the public in the next month or so. Thanks for the comment Alan
