photoblog image Kyle of Loch Alsh Harbour

Kyle of Loch Alsh Harbour

A few years ago we went on a Coach Holiday to Inverness in Scotland, never again, It was not too good so we hired a car for a couple of days and drove across Scotland to Skye. Unfortunately I did not take that many photographs. This is the Kyle of Loch Alsh harbour just by the bridge over to Skye, whose mountains can be seen in the background. As I remeber it was a very pleasant drive, much better and more comfortable than the coach.

Lovely composition Les..too bad you didn't enjoy the ride.
Les Auld: The ride was not too bad Ada, thanks for the comment.
Dangerously close to copyright infringement here! wink What time of year was that with all the gorse in blossom? I could tell you about the secret work done from that yellowish boat on the right (Royal Navy, divers, etc) but I might get a visit from Whitehall types!
Les Auld: Late int he year I think Ian, it was a few months after I had been made redundant, I do remember that. Didn't see any of your wrecks though.

A lovely shot, Les.. the red of the ship really does bring a splash of strong colour to the scene. Good to see working ships.
Les Auld: Thanks ALan, there seems to be less and less working boats these days.
There's a wealth of shots round this harbour Les and you have found a good one. The train journey across to here is worth doing as well.
Les Auld: Maybe one day Brian, thanks for the comment.
