photoblog image County Sessions House

County Sessions House

Designed and built between 1882 and 1884, the County Sessions House is at the top of William Brown Street in Liverpool and is built in a similar style to the other William Brown Street buildings of the same period. Oringinally a court house, the county referred to in the title is Lancashire, back in the good old days before we were Merseyside. It is now used as administrative offices for the Natinal Museums Liverpool.

Great photo of an impressive building
Les Auld: Thanks for the comment vintage, appreciate it.
There are certainly some very impressive buildings in parts of Liverpool Les. I've only ever passed through on the way to and from the Isle of Man, it seems I have missed a lot.
Les Auld: More listed buildings than anywhere outside London Brian, thanks for the comment.
